Overview

Assessments on Marty are composed of multiple individual tests (up to 5) and can include qualifying questions. This guide outlines the steps for creating and sending a complete assessment to candidates.

Step 1: Access the Assessments Page

  1. From the top navigation menu, select Assessments

  2. Click the New assessment button on the right

Step 2: Enter Basic Details

You’ll be prompted to define the general properties of the assessment:

  • Assessment name – A clear title that will be displayed to candidates

  • Language – Determines which tests will be available for selection. Only tests created in the selected language will appear

  • Candidate deadline – Choose the time frame candidates have to complete the assessment (e.g., 7 days)

Click Continue to proceed.

Step 3: Add Tests

  • You can add up to 5 individual tests per assessment

  • Use the search bar or scroll to browse through the available test library

  • You can include qualifying questions as part of the assessment if relevant to your process

This flexibility allows you to tailor each assessment to the specific role or skillset being evaluated.

Step 4: Invite Candidates

Once your assessment is created, click into it to start the invitation process. You have several options:

Shareable Link

  • Copy the direct link and share it manually

  • Share via integrated social platforms (e.g., LinkedIn)

Bulk Upload

  • Use the CSV template to import multiple candidates at once

  • Upload the completed file under "Upload CSV"

Invite by Email

  • Enter the candidate's first name, last name, and email address

  • Click Send invitation

Notes

  • A maximum of five tests can be added to a single assessment

  • Only tests that match the selected language will be shown for selection

  • Qualifying questions are optional but can help streamline early filtering
